Overview
The Kurtsan Continuous Belt Dryer is one of the machines with the widest product range in its group.
Drying temperature and time, as well as airflow speed and direction, are determined according to product characteristics.
The Kurtsan belt dryer operates as a continuous-flow system.
The product to be dried is conveyed through the drying chamber on a steel conveyor belt and exposed to a hot airflow.
The humidity level of the air inside the dryer is measured, and only stale air is exhausted, providing fuel savings, which is the largest operating expense.
A steam heat exchanger is used to heat the drying air.
With the applied process, airflow passes through the product from bottom to top and from the sides toward the center. This preserves product quality and natural color while providing uniform drying throughout.
By dividing the belt dryer combination into different drying zones, each drying stage can be adjusted at any time according to the specific characteristics and needs of the product. This allows the KURTSAN belt dryer to dry different grades of a product evenly and carefully, as well as to dry different products.

Technical Specifications
With the PLC control system, dryer temperature in °C and belt speeds in minutes are entered and controlled from the operator panel in proportion to one another, establishing the dryer operating conditions.
The automation system can alert the operator with audible and visual warnings of faults in all electrical equipment connected to the dryer, including the movement of fans used for hot-air blowing and moist-air exhaust, errors that may occur in heat control, and faults in geared motors driving the product conveyor belts. These faults can also be displayed in writing on the PLC operator panel. In the event of possible faults, the PLC system can partially or completely disable equipment connected to the dryer to prevent damage to the product inside.
The heating zones are fully insulated, and all product-contact surfaces and conveyor belts are fitted with pallets made from special perforated AISI 304-grade stainless steel sheet.
