Overview
The machine frame will be manufactured with a product infeed hopper and will measure 900 mm wide, 3,950 mm long, and 2,900 mm high from the floor. The machine frame will be manufactured from stainless steel sheet, profiles, angle iron, and U-channels with a metallic paint finish. The frame thickness is 3 mm.
The specially designed cracking section at the product inlet contains two belt assemblies operating parallel to each other and perpendicular to the floor. Peppers entering this assembly are compressed and cracked. The two belt systems are driven separately by two 1.1 kW, 1,500 rpm motors. Peppers cracked within the assembly discharge into a lower hopper and then proceed to the destemming drum.
The destemming drum will be 750 mm in diameter and 3,000 mm long, with 24 mm countersunk perforations, and will be constructed entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel sheet. The drum is supported on wheels and driven by a 1.1 kW, 83 rpm gearmotor. Stems separated inside the drum fall through the existing perforations to the lower section. A collection hopper is located below, and the stems discharged into this hopper are manually removed using a plastic crate-type container.
